Jim Finley
Head Coach
Coach Jim Finley is the Head Coach of the Bluefish Swim Club and is also the founder and Program Director of SwimAmerica - Bay Shore. A professional swimming coach with over 25 years experience Coach Jim is an active Lifetime member of the American Swim Coaches Association (ASCA). During his coaching career he has coached for the following organizations: Assistant coach for the Central Islip HS Boys and Girls Varsity Swim Teams, age-group coach for Central Islip Aquatics, Head Coach of the Hauppauge Sea Eagles, Head Age-Group coach for the Long Island Express swim team, and founder and Head Coach of the Suffolk Masters swim program.
He holds numerous certifications including: USA Swimming certified coach since 1988, ASCA certified level III Swim Coach, SwimAmerica Program Director, certified WaterBabies Instructor, Lifeguard, and 1st Aide & CPR w/ AED, CPO,
Still active in swimming, Jim is a member of the East End Masters Swim Team. Coach Jim also is an active in Mountain Biking and Triathlons.
